Meditation

The 3-day Primordial sound Mediation and Pranayama Ritual

I am very excited to be Introducing an in-depth experience entirely dedicated to Meditation and the breath. I believe that the benefits of these two practices are  vital to our physical and emotional well-being. Primordial sound meditation is based on primordial sounds -natures most basic sounds and vibrations.

A meditation technique that has been tried and tested for thousands of years. There are 108 Primordial sounds derived from the study of ancient sages who recorded the vibrations of the universe in relation to the position of the moon .

At Rituals Marbella I offer a very special 3 day Ritual where you will learn Deepak Chopra meditation techniques, receive your own personal Primordial sound mantra which incorporates the sound the universe was making at the time and place of your birth. This was the moment you emerged from the spiritual world into the physical world and when you use your own primordial sound mantra it serves as a vehicle of sound to take you back from activity to silence.

You will learn 3 different breathing techniques, Coherence, Ujjayi and Nadi Shodhana that will help you to mindfully enliven your health.

This Primordial sound meditation Ritual can be customised and Liana can arrange every last detail of your experience from the moment you arrive including your transfers, accommodation and wellness to lazy beach days, luxurious spa days, all in the sunshine of Marbella.

If you cannot travel but would like to have your own Primordial sound Mediation Mantra this Ritual is also offered online.

The Ritual of Meditation.

Welcome to what I consider to be the most important Ritual of All!

I always felt that it was a luxury that I could never give myself, I always had too much to do. There simply wasn’t enough time.

There was always a reason why not and yet my partner Ron would sit there in his special place each morning and evening as I passed him frantically going about what I considered to be important daily chores.

As our relationship grew and we spent more time together it slowly became clear to me that his life “Flowed” in a way that mine did not.

Naturally I was intrigued and very slowly over time I made changes to my lifestyle that allowed me to incorporate meditation as a ritual into my daily life and the benefits and the quality of my life have improved profoundly.

Now for the science

1. Meditation Decreases Depression, Anxiety & Insomnia.

A large body of research has established that having a regular meditation practice produces tangible benefits for mental and physical health including:

  • Decreased blood pressure and hypertension
  • Lowered cholesterol levels
  • Reduced production of stress hormones, including cortisol and adrenaline
  • More efficient oxygen use by the body
  • Increased production of the ant-aging hormone DHEA
  • Improved immune function
  • Decreased anxiety, depression, and insomnia

Regular meditation dissipates accumulated stress and cultivates a state of restful alertness. There are many compelling studies showing the power of meditation to relieve stress and promote inner calm. A 2011 study published in the Evidence based complementary and Alternative medicine journal found that full time workers who spent a few hours a week practicing mindfulness meditation reported a significant decrease in job stress, anxiety, and depressed mood.

2. Meditation improves creativity and problem-solving.

We have thousands of thoughts every day, many of them are the same thoughts we had yesterday, last week and last year. Our minds tend to get stuck in a repetitive thought loop that squeezes out the possibility for new ideas, inspiration, and creativity.

Meditation is a powerful Ritual for going beyond conditioned thought patterns into a state of expanded awareness. We connect to a field of infinite possibilities, and we open our minds to new insights intuition and ideas.

The world’s great innovators, athletes, and other high achievers have described this state of expanded awareness as “being in the flow”, being in the right place at the right time, where times stands still and instead of struggling and trying to force things to happen, everything you need comes naturally to you. You do less and accomplish more.

This higher state of consciousness is the birthplace of all creativity.

3. Meditation improves your relationships.

When you are feeling calm and centred you respond to situations much easier rather than reacting to them in a knee jerk way, which often results in toxicity in our relationships.

When you learn to meditate on a regular basis, you develop the ability to calmly and objectively observe situations. You notice when we are being triggered and consciously choose how you are going to respond.

Meditation cultivates compassion and understanding which allows us to more present with loved ones and really listen to what they are saying and what they need, which is extremely important in every relationship.

4. Mediation is the birthplace of happiness.

The greatest gift of meditation is the sense of calm and inner peace it brings into your daily life. When you meditate you go beyond the mind’s noisy chatter into an entirely different silent place.

This is important because silence is the birthplace of happiness. Silence is the place we get our bursts of inspiration, our tender feelings of compassion and understanding and our sense of love.

When we mediate regularly all our thoughts. actions and reactions are infused with a little more love and happiness.
